3 Reasons To Try Palmer's Stretch Mark Collection
by Christina Brown
I love my children, I really do. But what I don't love is the visible marks that carrying them has left on my body after birth. I tried almost everything under the sun while I was pregnant to prevent stretch marks - oils, cremes, pomades and the like. What I didn't have back then was the Palmer's Stretch Mark collection. This collection is brand new and hitting stores this March! Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of hearing about the new collection from the Palmer's brand team at a breakfast hosted by Momtrends. The collection is intended to help expecting and current mamas with preventing and treating stretch marks. I had a chance to talk with the team who developed it and they took their time to do diligent research on effective ingredients and clinical trials to make sure this stuff really works before releasing it. While I've only been using it for a few weeks, here are my thoughts and why I think this stuff will really work: 1. It has effective ingredients. The entire collection contains ingredients like pure cocoa butter and shea butter, natural oils like argan oil, collagen, elastin, and lutein. These are ingredients that serve the purpose of keeping skin moisturized and supple for 48 hours or more, allowing skin to stretch more easily. I'm an ingredients-focused shopper so this would definitely get me interested in trying it. 2. There are different products for different uses & skin types. Moisturizers are simply not one size fits all. The beauty of this collection is that they offer three different types of moisturizers for different skin types and also for different uses. For example, I may opt for the Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks before bed to ease pregnancy belly itching, but I may want to use the Tummy Butter for Stretch Marks on my belly right after leaving the shower to lock in moisture. For me, I've been using mainly the Massage Cream for Stretch Marks over the last few weeks because I've been traveling so much and it's easy to throw in my bag. It's nice to have options, and Palmer's thought about that when creating their Stretch Mark line. 3. It's from Palmer's. And I trust Palmer's. I grew up with Palmer's Cocoa Butter products in my household so it's a name I trust when it comes to moisturizers. There's something to be said about the fact that it took them years to develop this line. I'm excited to see how it works for me. The collection has officially launched at Palmers.com and the line will be available at food, drug and mass retailers nationwide by March. If you're thinking about a skincare line that will help reduce the appearance of stretch marks, this might be for you. I'm in the process of trying the products out for a month to determine if they work for me. I'll keep you guys posted! This post is sponsored by Palmers in partnership with MomTrends.
