BBS Chic: Back to School Basics with Kmart
by Christina Brown
I still remember what Back to School shopping was like as a kid. It was my favorite time of the year, right after my birthday. My time to show the world (or at least the kids at my school) how stylish as I was. Even though those days are long gone and Cadence isn't quite old enough yet to experience the "Back to School" hype, I still remember how nostalgic that time was. And even though I'm not going back to school, I still get excited about shopping for fall. When it comes to shopping for the kids, most fashionable moms like myself want to make sure the kids look cute but still stay under budget (school supplies are not cheap!) so having a strategy about where you shop for certain pieces is key. While I shop at a few other places, for Cadence's high end pieces or trend pieces, Kmart is a great place to snag budget-friendly basics like leggings, colored skinny pants (Cady wears these ALL the time) and basic tees. When I stopped by, I picked up a set of striped tees and basic bottoms like these pink pants (pictured above), another pair in black and denim. If you go to Kmart.com/backtoschool and click on the "Bundles" ad, they have a great selection of bundles that let you mix and match pieces based on a theme. I also grabbed a few of these striped tees to mix and match with the pants. They were so low-priced, I was able to get a few sets and I'll be able to mix and match these on her all season. Cadence is obsessed with hats so we had to add a little hat to the mix to complete her look. Also for anyone who needs to utilize layaway services and make payments, Kmart has flexible options for that as well. They've brought back their $10 down layaway program nationwide. To aid a few of you moms with your Back to School shopping, I'm giving away (two) gift cards courtesy of Kmart! One will be for $25 gift card toward a Kmart bundle of your choice. One will be for a $100 gift card toward back to school shopping at Kmart. Rules for Entry:
