Mommy and Me Maternity Shoot

by Christina Brown

It's been a little over 3 years since I introduced you all to Cadence Elizabeth. Over the past three years, I have grown so tremendously as a person and as a Mother. Cadence has taught me the meaning of sacrifice, she's increased my patience, taught me about selflessness and really revealed to me the true meaning of unconditional love. I thought it would be really special to do a maternity shoot with her. She's been such an integral part of my pregnancy, giving me perspective on what to look forward to and helping me out, even with her little hands and limited understanding. We took our photos at the Central Park Conservancy. It's a beautiful garden space on the north side of Central Park and we had just the perfect weather for beautiful photos with lush greenery and sunlight. Cadence was super patient and cooperative. We had to wait quite a while, so I was almost sure she would not be up for these pics but she showed up and showed out. She's such a tall glass of sass! I'm so beyond grateful to have her as a daughter. And she's going to be an incredible big sister! At first I was nervous because she's been my only little princess this whole time. I just don't ever want her to feel like mommy is neglecting her or getting a "new baby". She'll always be my baby. Special thanks to those of you who left comments on this Instagram post giving me creative ways to get her involved in the process of becoming a big sister. I made sure to buy her some special presents that she could open up during the baby shower. I also took her with me to a few doctor appointments so she could hear the baby's heartbeat herself. We're just 3 weeks away from meeting baby boy! I'm anxious but also really excited to see his chunky little face for the first time. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as our entire family navigates this transition.

THANK YOU as always for your support and encouragement on social media. I'm so appreciative for this community!
