The 2015 New York Baby Show & #MomTrendsLounge
by Christina Brown
This past weekend I was invited by the lovely folks at MomTrends to come out and experience my very first New York Baby Show. MomTrends curated a really awesome blogger lounge for us mom bloggers at the expo including everything from beauty touchups from the GlamSquad service (really cool new app that literally allows you to order your own personal glam squad including hair, makeup, and nails directly to your home) to fun giveaways and products provided by brands like Happy Family and hatch things. To kick off the expo, MomTrends staff was joined by mommy expert extraordinaire Rosie Pope for the ribbon cutting ceremony. At the MomTrends lounge, moms were treated to express beauty services like mini manicures and makeup touch-ups from Glam Squad. Even better, childcare was provided for the duration of the lounge by The Nanny League so moms could have some time to peruse the expo baby-free (pretty awesome). This was my first time attending the New York Baby Show and it is definitely an event that requires a full day plan, with lots of walking and tons to see and do. While at the New York Baby Show, Cadence and I had a chance to stop by the Canon booth so that I could learn a little bit more about their offerings. I currently have a Canon DSLR and I'm looking to upgrade, so I went straight to their booth to grab a few free portraits as well as to get information about their newest products. I have my eye on the brand new Canon EOS Rebel T6i which is a great starter DSLR with Wifi capabilities and also incredibly photo and video quality. Definitely going on my Christmas wishlist this year. Our day was packed with visiting booths and finding out information about new products for babies from newborn stage all the way up to toddler and preschool age. Though it was a huge space with tons of brands (which obvi can be overwhelming), it was a really great experience getting to learn about the brands on display and also getting to network with fellow moms. I would definitely recommend the New York Baby Show as a must-see/must-go for both expectant and current moms. When they're back in town, I'll be there.
What about you? Have you attended any baby expos? Did you enjoy them?
